Description
Attributed to Harris and Company, Boston, MA (1875-1900).
Molded copper, copper tubing, cast zinc ears.
Over-all in great condition with an exceptional oxidized yellow-gilt surface. Minor wear and pellet dings. Provenance: Private Collection, New England Named from one of the most notorious trotter’s, Black Hawk (1833-1856) became a symbol of horse racing in America during the 19th c. This iconic form is further enhanced by the untouched, original surface. -
