Winged vase in unglazed and hand-painted terracotta by Charles Brun Theremin alias CBTH.

Charles Brun Theremin’s ceramics are distinguished by a subtle work of textures, firings and glazes, revealing vibrant surfaces, sometimes mineral, sometimes organic. Cracks, drips and alterations become the visible signs of a process in which fire and time participate fully in the writing of the work.

Between sculpture and object, his creations evoke archaeological fragments or interior landscapes, placing ceramics in a contemporary, sensitive and experimental dimension.
