Description
A collection of three small Chinese Neolithic pottery jars consisting a red slender jar with large double ears, a grey and wide short jar with double ears and a more stocky jar with thick wall and engrave-decorated surface. They are all low fired stoneware, with the first two have a more polished surface. Devoid of any glaze or paint decorations, these small pottery pieces were probably unearthed in Gansu Province, Northern China, along the yellow river, the cradle of Chinese civilization.
The collection was from a western MA estate and they were purchased in Hong Kong in 1993. Each pieces has an authentication certificate with photograph issued by Hong Kong Art Craft Merchants Association and dated these piece between 3000-1524BC. From left to right on image 1, the height is 5", 4.3" and 3.1". The general size show is for packing purpose. -
