Description
Rare Brass WWI Princess Mary Box complete with the original two packs of cigarettes, photograph of the Princess Mary and Christmas card with envelope.
This box has it original slightly textured surface. This thin coating was added to reduce its reflective properties to help protect the troops. Many of these boxes have been polished to a high lustre, removing the original surface. -

Origin: England Period: 1900-1919 Materials: Brass, paper Condition: Good. Overall excellent condition, but the lead edge is slightly bent, so it is a bit tricky to open and should be opened carefully. One pack of cigarettes is open, both are worn.
