Description
Covered box decorated with fish. Late Yuan - early Ming.14th-17th Century
The lid is adorned with a beautifully painted fish surrounded by aquatic foliage, rendered in deep cobalt blue under a transparent glaze with fine crackling. The base shows typical reddish clay and spiral turning lines, with minimal wear.
3" tall x 5 1/4" wide
Condition: There is a little natural chip to the lip, otherwise very good -
