    Beginning with a ball of clay, Salusti pinches it into the desired shape of her vessels and textures them with stone fragments. After multiple firings, this piece was lustered with 22K gold. Its volcanic-like rough exterior contrasts with the smoothness of the inside, which attracts and contains ambient light, giving it a spiritual presence.
