    Depth: 14.5" || Early-20th Century (1917) wood hinged game box including 24 checkers and 32 chess pieces, hand carved, featuring game board parquetry on the cover, framed by a molded border with evenly spaced inlaid mother-of-pearl dots (also embedded along the bottom apron), an asymmetrically curved 5-compartment interior, scroll & foliate parquetry surrounding the sides, resting on 4 splayed legs.

    Some warping, chipping, missing some pieces of shell inlay.
