Description
Victorian Neoclassical silver covered urn. Made by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd in London in 1896. Bowl with half-gadrooning interspersed with acanthus leaves; leaf-capped flying side handles and stepped foot. Cover domed with open leaf finial on leaf and gadroon mount. Visible hand hammering. Traditional form in Britannia (that is, 958) silver. Fully marked. Very good condition.
