Description
Emperor Xuande Marked Diminutive Lidded Jewelry or Keepsake Box, Blue and White Porcelain, China, 19th c.
A charming diminutive Chinese blue and white porcelain lidded trinket box, beautifully decorated with hand-painted floral and scrolling leaf motifs in rich cobalt blue against a smooth, milky-white porcelain ground. The gently rounded form and finely detailed decoration reflect the enduring appeal of traditional Chinese blue and white ceramics, a style celebrated by collectors for centuries.
The underside bears a four-character Xuande reign mark (宣德, 1426–1435), referencing the renowned Ming Dynasty period.
This elegant covered box combines decorative appeal with practical function. Perfectly sized to hold tiny valuables like jewelry, making it a lovely addition to a porcelain collection, vanity, or display cabinet.
