English Victorian Period Faux bamboo carved fruitwood ladder circa 1890; [1. throughout the 19th century, the English were obsessed with all things Asian. Chinoiserie was in vogue and making furniture that had an Asian influence was very much in style. This library ladder was carved from fruitwood but carved to look like bamboo.] height: 107 in. 272 cm., width: 15.5 in. 38 cm., depth 2 in. 5 cm.
