This is a beautifully sculpted marble nude, signed and dated 1978 by noted Sculptor Eugene Gauss. The reclining nude is reminiscent of Picasso and is executed in fine statuary marble support by a lacquered wooden plinth.
*Eugene Gauss (1905 - 1988) was a respected American sculpture noted for both his sculptures and works on paper. His works have auction results for up to $13,000.
*The base easures 2"h x 15.75"w x 6"d.
