Abstract Wood Collage by Felice Antonio Botta, Italy, 20th Century
-
Description
Abstract wood wall sculpture by Italian artist and designer, Felice Antonio Botta.
Botta was an early proponent of used 'poor materials' (recovered and found wood) for a movement that became known as arte povera (poor art). In this piece his arrangement of a table and table setting is striking, even decorative as his combination of syncronous and dyscyncronous wood arrangements reflect sympathies with the cubist movement and contemporary abstraction.
