On offer for your consideration we have a patinated bronze sculpture of a resting rooster - Coq Dormant.
This sculpture was designed by François Pompon (1855-1933) in 1914. The bronze is marked on the top of the base POMPON, numbered (5/12) and with foundry mark CIRE PERDUE C. VALSUANI.
This sculpture was purchased in 1982 from a family that immigrated to the US from Europe in the late 1930's.
