Large pair of 1940s Fulham Pottery wall brackets

Price Upon Request
  • Description
    50cm wide x 25cm high x 15cm deep

Rare pair of large unglazed English Fulham Pottery wall pocket vases, circa 1940. Glazed inside to hold water for flowers, unglazed outside. Simple and elegant shape. Made in the 1940s and marked "CH" for Charles Marriner, a significant figure in the pottery's history who started working at the Fulham Pottery in 1871 and eventually became a director.

The wall brackets were part of the Alber Ware line created in 1937, inspired by the pottery's highly successful collaboration with renowned florist Constance Spry. They were made to compliment her urn vases.
