Description
The “Flower” vase, designed by Gaetano Pesce as part of his celebrated Fish Collection, is a sculptural object crafted entirely in hand-poured resin, a signature technique of the designer. Each piece features organic variations in color, texture and form, as Pesce approaches production as a semi-controlled process in which irregularities are not flaws but intentional expressions of uniqueness.
The vase displays vibrant tones and translucent layers that create visual depth as light passes through the resin, highlighting its chromatic shifts and material richness. The undulating edges and asymmetrical contours reflect Pesce’s ongoing challenge to conventional industrial manufacturing, positioning his objects between functional design and contemporary art.
Suitable as a decorative vessel —for dried flowers or as a standalone piece— this vase functions as a sculptural accent within residential interiors, modern living spaces or curated commercial environments. Its presence is unmistakable within Pesce’s body of work, where resin becomes a medium for experimenting with color, memory, playfulness and fluid form. The piece is in excellent condition, retaining its original vibrancy and material integrity.
