German Rococo silver shoe ornament. Imported to England in 1900 by John George Smith. Chased pastoral scenes with frolicking cherubs and applied bow; pointed toe and heal. Hanau maker’s marks (Friedrich Reusswig) and English sterling-standard import marks including London assay stamp. Very good condition.
