Rarely seen, these two vases were part of a series done by Hans Theo Baumann for Karlsruhe Majolika in the 1970's.
Hans Theo Baumann was a prominent post war designer. He work was often in glass and ceramics and he worked for a variety of companies including Rosenthal, Fukagawa, Sussmuth, Hutschenreuther and others. As an industrial designer he also created flatware and some furniture. These majolica vases for Karlsruhe are Injection molded and partially hand glazed. They were produced in the 1970s.
Each is signed & dated "H. Th. Baumann". Stamped Karlsruhe and one retains the original sticker.
Diameter listed is for the taller vase. The shorter vase's diameter is 5.75" -
