  • Description
A beautiful ash fired Bizen pottery jar by Harada Shuroku.
    Harada Shūroku 原田 拾六 1941-2024

Bizen artist HARADA SHŪROKU creates work of a bold and stirring nature. After researching old Bizen kiln sites with his teacher, Harada became a master of the Bizen technique, focusing on sake flasks. Typically left unglazed, Harada's ceramics reveal the vivid color, texture, and essence of the original clay.
