-
Description
This grouping is a beautiful example of Hideaki Miyamura's white crystalline glaze. The imagery recalls translucent "Sankayou" blossoms drifting through the air. Miyamura has experimented with over ten thousand test pieces, using countless formulas to develop original glazes. Miyamura's studio pottery appears in the permanent collections of more than a dozen museums, predominantly in the United States, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, the Peabody Essex Museum, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Newark Museum of Art, and the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution. The 1st vase measures 8 in. tall x 6.5 in. diameter, the 2nd vase measures 12.5 in. tall x 7.5 in. diameter and the 3rd vase measures 8.5 in. tall x 6.5 in. diameter. All 3 pieces are signed.
