Description
A bronze sculpture signed J.B. Leonard, this twentieth-century French work depicts two seagulls in flight above a wave-like base in the Art Deco style. The composition captures the two birds in flight, their forms rising from the stylised wave base, with the streamlined treatment characteristic of Art Deco sculpture. Bronze gives the piece weight, fine detail, and a durable surface. The signature on the base adds documentary interest for collectors. Suited to display on a console, mantel, side table, or shelf, the sculpture serves as a decorative focal point and a piece of collectible interest. Its Art Deco styling and French origin give it period character. Suited to both period and contemporary interiors, the sculpture works as a sculptural object in a reception room, study, hall, or library. As a signed Art Deco bronze of two seagulls, it offers a decorative and collectible sculpture with the streamlined character of the style.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! - More Information
