Pair of George III cast sterling silver candlesticks. Made by John Arnell in London in 1766. Each: Spool socket mounted to faceted and tapering shaft with knops and flanges; leaf-covered domed foot on square base. Gadrooning. Sturdy Midcentury Georgian that’s good for another couple centuries of tabletop illumination. Fully marked. Very good condition.
