    Winning work in the French 2020 Art workshop Challenge (Occitanie)

    An ode to femininity and to our future. “The future of man is the woman” (Louis Aragon) Seemingly fragile and unbalanced, the outer envelope of FRAGRANCE highlights the dazzling nuances of the female soul, contrasting with an enigmatic and infinite interior.
    Hammered copper sheet (mounted in a single sheet without welding). Exterior finish: oxidized copper (technical innovation no varnish, no paint), with polymorphic shades. It is no longer the work that has a fixed hue, but its environment that will change it in appearance of color.

    The “simple sheet” works are mounted in a single piece of metal by manual hammering, without any contemporary assembly technique (welding, riveting, collage…), as has been done for thousands of years. I am one of the few to still use this technique while bringing it to the limits of matter.
