This striking ceramic vase originates from nancy, France Circa 1925. Spherical in form with two coiled bands composing the mouth and base of the vase, this Art Deco piece utilizes a repeating motif of relief carved spirals in contrasting hues of muted greens, deftly executed with charming irregularities and clever control of space characteristic of hand sculpted ceramics of the period. With a glazed interior that soaks in light creating a brilliant depth to the interior, the attention to detail is evident throughout.
