Description
For your pleasure we have a beautiful tabernacle in bronze ormolu made in Vienna Austria (cr. 1910).
Very seldom do you see or come across a tabernacle is a Jugendstil design, the reason is most people bought traditional design forms. Very rare to find one person who was thinking outside of the box. This family most likely decorated they homes with designers that were designing for the Wiener Werkstätte, a more avantgarde client.
The quality of the metal work is stunning and attributed to Otto Prutscher.
Make a fantastic picture frame. -
