Ocean Bowl by Katz Studio

Ocean Bowl is a sculptural vessel from Katz Studio's Oceana Collection, its scalloped, wave-carved form suggesting something pulled from an unknown shoreline, smoothed by tide and current rather than shaped by hand.

Depending on the finish, the piece takes on an entirely different character. In transparent resin, the bowl becomes a vessel for color and light itself, the material glowing translucent where it's thin along the folds and deepening into richer saturation where the resin pools thicker, so the piece feels less painted than lit from within. In the studio's opaque metallic finishes, that same form reads instead through reflection and shadow, a warmer, more grounded presence.

Hand finished in Photopolymer Resin, Ocean Bowl works equally well as a freestanding sculptural object or a functional vessel, suited to console tables, entryways, and other spaces where it can be viewed in the round.
