Relatively little is known about Strobl. He was among a large group of European sculptors during the early 20th c. who were extremely talented but unrecognized. This example of a Nude Figure gazing towards the heavens was derived from a Greek goddess. This piece shows both movement and expression, an attribute that talented artists, such as Strobl had.
