Full body copper, cast zinc head and spur feet.
Over-all in fine condition, traces of some paint history, now oxidized with a verdigris surface.
Provenance: Collection of Joanne B. Breyer; Sotheby’s Important Americana, January, 1996.
Having great presence with its grand scale, the form of the rooster is equally as impressive. The curvature of the profile is complimented by the details of the molded body while balanced by the fully cast zinc head and spur feet.
