Large Imari Charger, Meiji Period
-
Description
This is an impressive large Meiji period Imari charger. The charger features a central "stylized mon" reserve surrounded by scenes featuring imaginary shi-shi and fantastical sea creatures. The charger is in very good to excellent condition without apparent damage; there are normal minor kiln imperfections. This charger could easily serve as art if hung on the wall or even more stunning if placed on a gilt wood bracket. We have a second large Meiji charger listed separately. Please contact MJH Design Arts for reduced pricing if both chargers are purchased together.
