Figured Maple Chippendale Mirror, 18th Century
-
Description
This is a classic and very good American Chippendale Mirror in figured Maple and Maple. The back of the mirror is as interesting and the front is beautiful. The rough hewn board are attached with all of their original square cut and forged nails. The frame is in overall very good to excellent condition considering its 200+ years of use. The detailed outlining of the crest appears to be intact with only a small hairline visible. The choice of woods shows the hand of a master craftsman with a more figured maple on the internal edge. This stunning mirror is ready for its new home.
