Beautiful early 20th century Louis Vuitton trunk covered in the world famous LV monogrammed canvas.
Elizabeth Oakley acquired this Louis Vuitton trunk while living in Stockbridge, Ma. with my then hunsband R.D. Alsop. He is the great nephew of Frank Crowninshield, whose belongings we had stored in our attic.
Frank Crowninshield was a founding member of the MOMA in NYC
This Trunk has traveled back and forth across the Atlantic many times.
His initials are hand painted in red on either red.
It measures 35.5 "x 20 " x 13". It has an inner tray that measures 34" x 18.5" x 4 1/4" -
