On offer for your consideration we have a fabulous rare cubist ceramic cat designed by Louis Wain in 1914.
Louis Wain had a great skill for drawing animals, something that obviously came to the forefront when he began to illustrate the humorous cat pictures that we know him for today.
In 1886 his first drawing was published illustrated in the London news. It showed 150 cats in total sending invitations, playing games and holding a bam and as a result projected him into the public eye, receiving huge recognition and success.
Outside of his art painting, drawing and illustrations he designed a collection on 1914 of cubist ceramic cats, the result of which projected him into the public eye.
