“Although this is the smallest piece from the series, it was the hardest to craft glass for. The narrow block with a single continuous piece of glass bending over it meant the bends going inward hiding the electrodes and wiring had to be perfectly calculated and flawlessly executed. I made over two dozen prototypes and trials before getting one to hit the spec, then of course broke it when placing it onto the stone and had to go back and make it once more. This piece much more than the others is a product of the patience and craftsmanship I’ve developed through this process.” - Marcus Vinicius De Paula -
