A stunning Mid Century Modernist Menorah by Maxwell Chayat.
Measures approximately 11.75 inches tall, 10 inches wide and has a depth of 5.125 inches. Circa 1950's.
Maxwell Chayat (1909-1982) American Mid Century Modernist Jeweler maintained a studio in Clinton, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Columbia University. His modernist jewelry designs are highly coveted and collected. Maxwell Chayat's sculpture and Jewish ritual art objects were displayed in many institutions, his work can be found in the Smithsonian, Cooper Union, the Jewish Museum of NY and the Newark Museum.
This piece is in good vintage condition.
