Description
Mid-20th century decorative covered vase or bonbonniere, entirely handmade and mouth-blown in glass, featuring a soft organic form in beautifully blended tones of chartreuse green, pink, and clear colorless glass. This elegant tableware decorative object reflects the influence of modern Scandinavian and contemporary studio glass design, with smooth flowing lines and a playful yet refined color combination.
The piece is executed in thick blown glass with a rounded body and fitted cover, the colors melting gently into one another to create a luminous and sculptural effect. The form is both decorative and functional, suitable for use as a bonbonniere, small covered vase, or tabletop accent. The glass shows the subtle variations typical of handmade production, giving the piece individuality and confirming its handcrafted quality. The underside is signed, further indicating its studio-made origin. Because of its compact size and vibrant colors, this piece works well as a decorative accent on a table, console, or cabinet, and can easily complement both modern and traditional interiors. The vase measures approximately 10 1/4 inches high and about 5 1/2 inches in diameter, making it an ideal size for display without overwhelming the space. Overall in good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use, and free of chips, cracks, or repairs. -
