Oriental Room Divider, Inspired by Chinese craftsmanship - 1900's
-
Description
Two oriental room dividers, Inspired by ancient Chinese craftsmanship of the Han Dynasty. We date this unique set back to the early 1900s. Made of wrought iron a technique that has been used for many centuries, and is the "iron" that is referred to throughout Western history. The other form of iron, cast iron, was in use in China since ancient times but was not introduced into Western Europe until the 15th century; Would fit well in an Axel Vervoordt inspired interior or an interior that is in need of an incredible conversation piece.
