Pair Bronze Andirons
-
Description
This is a superb pair of mid-19th century French bronze andirons in the Baroque Louis XIV taste. These guys have a wonderful hefty presence and could be fitted to Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Colonial inspired fire places. In addition to the horses decorating the bases of the andirons, the bases feature a central lion head and hefty lion paw feet. The top of the andirons features a well-cast flame finial. The solid bronze has acquired a rich natural and desirable patina (however, if desired, we will have the andirons professionally polished at cost). The baroque horse detailing to the bases make these andirons a great choice equestrian aficionados.
