Pair Carved Renaissance Lions
-
Description
This is an unusual pair of 17th Century (or earlier) Flemish (?) carved lions that once formed part of a large cabinet or, perhaps, the feet of an elaborate table. The lions are well carved in a rustic manner. They exhibit extensive worming to their feet, but the bodies remain well-defined. These guys would make great decorative elements on a mantel or bookcase.
