A pair of silver plated two-arm candelabra by the esteemed Barker Brothers of Birmingham, England, featuring ornate chased leaf and berry detailing. These elegant pieces showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of one of England’s oldest silversmithing firms, established in 1801 and renowned for their high-quality domestic metalwork.
Circa 1920, these period pieces were created during the early 20th century when the firm was operating as Barker Brothers Silversmiths Ltd.
Finished in a thick silver plate over a sturdy base metal, now wearing a soft and refined patina. Rooted in the Victorian tradition, these candelabra embody the ornate and flowing design sensibility that defined English silver and silverplate throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries.
