Dimensions: 23-3/4″H x 8-3/4″W x 8-3/4″D
A magnificent pair of 19th century silver plate candlesticks from Catholic Church altar in France. The fixtures have column-form shafts that are topped in bobeches, and finished in ribbed and reeded designs. The bases are pyrimidal in shape, each with ornate scrolled acanthus leaves and three styled feet. The image of Christ, the Blessed Mother, and the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts can be found in relief on the three faces of the base. The silver plate has developed an outstanding patina from decades of polishing. -
