Signed and Dated Scarpa Murano Pale Amber Vase for Venini

Description
A large vase of clear Murano glass with applied pale orange-amber battuto bands in a spiral pattern designed by Carlo Scarpa for Venini which is signed and dated on the bottom. Battuto was a favorite technique of Scarpa in which a grinding wheel is used to mark the finished glass surface to yield a hammered, faceted pattern.
