A fine pair of circa 1825 French Restauration period patinated and ormolu bronze candlesticks of good size in 'Gothic' style; the unusual design typifying the first 'Gothic' revival of the early 19th century merging classical forms with medieval motifs.

Origin: France Period: 19th Century Materials: Lost wax cast bronze, gold Condition: Good. Pristine examples with little-to-no wear on gilding. One trefoil cresting collar tine insignificantly outstanding the others; likely from manufacture as there's no signs of stress or damage; see photo 8, right candlestick.
