Description
A rectangular hinged silver filigree box with intricate scrolling arabesque and heart motifs throughout. Central rectangular panel on lid framed by continuous border of scrollwork. Sides decorated with repeated teardrop (paisley) patterns and fine filigree work. The interior is polished, offering a reflective surface, while the hinges are subtly integrated into the decorative framework. Original clasp and hinge mechanism intact. Persia circa 1900.
