Description
A rare ‘Cavalieri’ design waste paper basket by Piero Fornasetti, Italy, c.1950. This early ‘Horsemen’ design depicts a uniformed man on horseback with whip. The lacquered hand-coloured transfer images, along with the solid brass rim, have a lovely patina with only minor signs of use. Signed on the underside, ‘Fornasetti Milano – Made in Italy’, this is a beautiful piece for any Fornasetti aficionado!
