Qajar Period Persian Ceramic Vase circa 1820

$ 3,200
  • Description
    A finely decorated Persian ceramic vase from the Qajar period, dating to circa 1820. The vessel of elegant baluster form with gently flared rim is richly ornamented in underglaze cobalt blue and green on a creamy ground, featuring stylised floral and scrolling vine motifs arranged in vertical panels.

    The decoration reflects the enduring influence of earlier Safavid design traditions, reinterpreted in the distinctive palette and freer hand of the Qajar period. The surface displays a softly aged glaze with characteristic craquelure, consistent with its early 19th-century origin.

    A refined and decorative example of Qajar ceramic production, combining strong graphic patterning with a graceful silhouette, well suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
