Rare French Art Nouveau Wrought-Iron Adjustable Easel, C 1900

$ 3,600
  • Description
    An exceptional and highly decorative French Art Nouveau easel of slender wrought-iron construction, featuring elaborate hand-forged botanical and foliate ornament throughout. The adjustable frame rises to an ornamental crest with scrolling tendrils and a stylized floral finial, while the lower section is embellished with sinuous stems, leaves, and pendant floral motifs characteristic of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. A central adjustable platform, originally designed to support an oil lamp, adds to the unusual and functional character of this rare piece.
