Description
Attributed to Harris and Company, Boston, MA (1875-1900).
Molded copper, copper tubing, zinc ears.
Over-all in great condition with a wonderful verdigris surface.
Provenance: Litchfield County Auctions, Clarence Picco, 1995; Private Collection, Lee, MA.
In a hard size to find, this large Black Hawk weathervane has most of the attributes found on examples made by Harris and Company, notably the tail. They produced this model from 1875-1900, throughout all the years they were established. -
