Description
Archelaus Green, with initials "AG", inscribed on backside.
New York State, ca. 1830.
Pine, polychrome paint and gilt lettering.
Untouched original condition, including hardware.
The wonderful artistically painted free-hand design depicting leaf motifs highlighted with black outlining has survived in remarkable condition. The brilliantly painted panels are enhanced by the black border edge.
