Description
Rare Standing Horse Weathervane
Attributed to J. Howard and Co., Bridgewater Massachusetts, ca. 1868.
Cast zinc front, full body molded copper, cast iron directional.
Structurally in excellent condition, all original. Traces of original sizing and gilt, honest and appealing historic surface.
This rare and early, large-scale standing horse weathervane is most likely made by J. Howard having a cast zinc front section and supported by a cast iron bar.
