Description
On offer for your consideration we have a very rare and unusual ceramic table top cigar or cigarette lighter.
The ceramic lighter is in the form of what they call in German a "Fabelwesen" or a Mythical Creature.
This piece was designed by Richard Teschner who worked as a sculptor and puppet maker in Vienna between 1900-1935. His pieces are in museums and private collections around the world.
As you can see the lighter is in yellow and yellowish green majolica and there is what look like the heating element inside needs to be rewired. -
