Description
On offer for your consideration we have a stunningly beautiful Rosenthal Art Nouveau porcelain ginger jar with a reticulated lid.
This porcelain ginger or pomander jar was designed by painter Julius Vilhelm Guldbrandsen. The delicacy of the hand painted flowers along with the beautifully made reticulated cover is breathtaking.
Julius Vilhelm Guldbrandsen joined Rosenthal in 1909 and from 1910 to 1924 was artistic director of the art department at the factory in Selb Bavaria. He created many new techniques in the porcelain department colors, underglaze painting along with new designs for utility porcelain.
